Educational Field Trip

Free Purchase required to enroll
We are planning a student field trip to one of the auctions (the one I bought Tater and SweetTea) in March to discuss what I look for when buying horses and talk about the pros and many cons of buying horses at auction.

I know a bunch of people have mentioned a 12-24 month plan on wanting to buy a horse so I thought this might be a fun way to explore questions on the topic.

Would be informal conversations throughout the auction on:
- the auction process
- general do’s and don’ts of auction and buying etiquette
- what I look for with horses

These field trips would be in conjunction with an "Over Dinner" Seminar on Horse Purchasing topics. More information about the seminar at: https://paintedbarstables.pike13.com/group_classes/41934#/list?dt=2023-03-10&lt=staff

Dates:
Friday 3/17 - Harness Horse breeds
Saturday 3/18 - Ponies and Minis
Thursday 3/30 - Drafts

Location: Romulus NY

Cost:
There is no price on the “clinic” - anyone can attend the auction, it’s open to the public - but people would be welcome to toss in tip money if anything I do or say seems worth while. All of the money given would go into Tater’s custom saddle fund (goal is $2500, current contributions at $477).

Please be sure to register ahead of time as if we do not have anyone registered I may not attend the auction. I am going for you guys!

The start time of the auction may change so please keep track of it on the calendar in your Pike13 Portal.
